This baby is made from a lightweight handwoven cotton (about the same thickness as flannel but with no fuzziness). Over time the cotton will soften into a buttery texture while maintaining an elegant structure. This cotton weight (like a smooth linen) is ideal for wearing as a dress, but can also be worn as a light jacket. All robes come with a long belt (same length as the collar) for beautiful tying and knotting.

The lilac hue is elegant, softly feminine, and beautifully detailed with subtle fiber variations in the pink/lavender palette.

The naturally dyed denim is handwoven by the Ali family (4 generations) outside of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Heritage weaving is an important part of the local economy and history, and sadly, is a dying craft. The Ali family weaves cloth specifically for LILY FORBES with fibers naturally dyed in a small, family-run, safe, clean facility in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The cotton threads are dyed by third generation natural dyer, Mahesh.
