GARMENT CARE, BE KIND TO YOUR GARMENT

Naturally dyed garments are unique and require a little more care in the beginning. Please be gentle when wearing your piece for the first few times, as the color may rub (particularly the indigo). We pre-wash the fabric to minimize rubbing, but--to be extra safe--it is advisable to wash the garment (by itself) before wearing it. Also, we recommend wearing dark colors underneath the first few wears.

WASHING:

  • turn garments inside out
  • hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent (Woolite, Soak, or Eucalan are great options)
  • hang to dry in the shade (prolonged exposure to intense sunlight may fade the color overtime, so best to avoid sunbaths when drying)
  • you may also eco dry clean the garment
  • no bleach please

PSA: naturally dyed fabric is pH sensitive and may discolor from contact with citrus, baking soda, or white wine. You can neutralize a reaction from an unwanted encounter by immediately treating the garment with Woolite or another pH neutral detergent and water.
